Does Asian Culture Eat Agile for Breakfast?
My colleagues Daryl, Lam and I were invited to talk at the DBS Agile conference in Singapore last week. It was really great to see how much emphasis the bank is putting on Agile as a key element of their BBW strategy (Best Bank in the World). I was also impressed by the awareness of top management about Agile matters and the sense of urgency they communicated to their team about embracing Agile.
We are very excited for the Agile Hong Kong 2016 conference, happening this Saturday 16 April.
why innovation! has helped to co-organise and has sponsored the conference and we are very proud to contribute to the overall growth of the Agile community in HK.
We hope that this means great things ahead for Agile in Hong Kong and the organisations which choose to embrace this shift in mindset and leadership for delivering products in this complex business world.
Yann Hamon, our managing director, and the rest of our Hong Kong team would love to chat to you on Saturday. Just look for the white polo shirts with the why innovation! logo on the front – or come up and chat to us at our table also to find out more about our approach to Agile, innovation and complex product management.

Modern organisations are increasingly preferring an Agile approach to deliver all sorts of projects – from product development to technology, from the simple to the complex. The main drivers are to produce products and software faster and cheaper but also to better align customers and users with the development team, and produce better results for all.
In December, why innovation! will partner with Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) to provide certified Scrum Master training (PSM1 - Scrum.org). Scrum is the most popular Agile methodology and the Scrum Master role is key to helping individuals, teams and organisations transition to the Agile way of working.
The course will be hands-on and experiential, taking course over the place of three days. The first day will be devoted to the basics of Agile principles, whilst the next two days will focus solely on the Scrum Master role – and will culminate in participants undertaking the PSM1 exam.
